As a result, Medicago currently owns, or has licensed, intellectual property for inventions pertaining to its core technologies. This intellectual property is the subject of patents and patent applications in various jurisdictions, including Canada, Europe and the United States.
We believe that our current intellectual property rights will make it difficult for third parties to duplicate our proprietary VLP products.
